Pitt IND was originally chartered in 2009 and recently established a revival class in fall of 2019. Since then the brothers have worked hard to establish a strong presence on campus to pursue excellence in academics, service and promoting a greater understanding of South Asian culture. Pitt IND has always put academics first obtaining a cumulative semester GPA of 3.6, one of the highest among Greek Life at Pitt. The brothers at Pitt always work to establish a strong academic community among themselves in order to pursue professional excellence. Pitt IND also takes pride in their philanthropic work with brothers working to create fundraisers for various different social initiatives. Recently Pitt IND raised over $600 for for the Live Free 999 foundation, an organization that supports young people in their battles with addiction, anxiety and depression. Pitt IND has also worked closely with Be The Match to get all the brothers registered for the bone marrow registry as well as others on campus. Pitt IND has and always will pride itself on fostering a brotherhood of men that are both professional and charitable.
