As a majority commuter school, The UMBC colony has dedicated itself to creating an engaging environment on campus and increasing awareness of the student body regarding various issues that don’t get the needed attention. We’ve held fundraisers for the opioid epidemic affecting Baltimore, annual Bone marrow drives by partnering with organizations such as the Knight Foundation and Be the Match. We pride ourselves on contributing to and strengthening this closely knit community we have found ourselves a part of. We additionally often host fundraisers and charitable events with other community based organizations like the South Asian Student Society and the UMBC Student Government Association. As a brotherhood, we will continue to create a safe and inclusive environment on our campus in addition to promoting South Asian culture.
